SUMMARY: 20+ years in programming, system administration and network administration. Excellent communication skills. Work well under pressure. Installed 30+ HP-UX systems, the largest has 2 systems with 8 CPU's, 6 Gig of ram, 12+ Terabytes of shared disk space, and a shared Storage Tek solo with 20 tape drives and over 4000 tape storage slots. The disks and tapes were connected via 12 FC connections to 4 Brocade FC switches, out to the disks (EMC) and tape drives. 4 Gigabit connections to 2 Cisco switches, and a Hyper Fabric connection between them. • Unix:Evaluation of H/W (systems, disk arrays, network, optical and tape jukeboxes), S/W (third party, custom, vendor). Site planning, installing/upgrading unix and third party software. Patch analysis, installing patches. Installing the hardware, configuring / partitioning the disks, striping for performance and redundancy. Work with EMC to configure hyper volumes for best performance and redundancy. Add/configure users, groups, printers, tape drives, xterms. Create recovery tapes. Configure SAMBA to use an NT PDC. As an employee for BancTec I have served as a systems administrator, programmer/debugger, and Tech support. Major accomplishments, projects and duties include:

• Upgraded 2 HP-UX systems from 10.x to 11.0 for Discover card in Dover and Salt Lake.
• Installed CDROM image import system for CitiBank in Delaware.
• Corrected a major bug in effecting check image archive system at MBNA only, and only effecting 1 system at 1 site.
• Phone support for the check image archive systems. Customers include the Federial Reserve, MBNA, Novus/Discover, USAA, CitiBank, American Airlines, …
• Installed/supported Windows NT, 2000, NT Server, 2000 Server and XP.
• Installed/supported HP-UX systems.
• Installed/supported Linux systems (RedHat 8.0).
• Responsible for re-locating 3 computer rooms/labs to our new building. Some equipment was de-commissioned or re-located to other BancTec locations.

• Tech lead for Banctec's first customer accepted Image Archive System. Installed 2 systems at Bank of New York.
• Responsible for 20 in-house HP 9000 servers (HP-UX). This includes Installing the OS, patching, problem resolution, networking, disks, RAID boxes, tape drives, tape jukeboxes and optical jukeboxes.

As an applications software engineer for BancTec may major accomplishments and projects included:

• Member of IMAGE Team. IMAGE is an electronic document retrieval system, written in C and Assembler. This distributed system uses interprocess communication to transfer information and images between processes over a network.
• Project Leader and Lead Programmer for developing real-time, Turnkey, Remittance Applications System (RAS). Expert on RAS System, and frequently help Applications Group resolving problems, and designing custom features. Developed a table driven optional check sorting package for RAS.
